Flash’s children were Don and Dawn Allen, the Tornado Twins. They had superspeed. This is, of course COMIC canon, and may not at all be consistent with that stupid Young Justice cartoon, which proceeded to ruin Bart’s story and character.

First still from the upcoming DC Animated movie - Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.

While I was not a fan at all of the Flashpoint mini-series, or it’s outcome - the NEW 52, this art direction looks promising. And under the new direction of James Tucker, who has claimed he doesn’t want to produce straight adaptations of comic storylines, this could mean the movie will turn out better than series it is based upon. We shall see.

And even though this is billed as a “Justice League (colon)” movie, it’s most certainly Flash-focused, and that’s also a nice departure from the over-saturated Superman/Batman fare we’ve been getting.

WonderCon 2013! My Story!

I was gonna throw pictures up in here, but it became too difficult and I don’t have to please you. :P

So this was the best weekend of my life. Friday, I helped out at the SuperHeroStuff.com booth, and that was a lot of fun. Then I went over to the ShiftyLook.com Bravoman! booth near the Capcom display, and got an autograph and picture from my pal, Rob Paulsen. That pictures IS on my Tumblr already, and it’s a damn good one, too.

I introduced myself to J.M. DeMatteis as well, who was talking with voice director and writer, Mark Evanier. Then I dropped by the Aspen table and said hi to J.T. Krul, since it had been a while since I saw him last. Finally, I went to Artist Alley and said hello again to Norm Rapmund, and finally got to meet the amazing Todd Nauck. I spent a good time getting to know him and his super sweet wife, Dawn. Todd drew me that outstanding Impulse commission, which I’ll cherish forever.

Saturday was incomparable. I met colorist Gabe Eltaeb, writer Jimmy Palmiotti, and inker Mick Gray. I went to the Bravoman panel that morning with friend and voice actor Brian Stevenson, and introduced myself to the unbelievably talented Dee Bradley Baker. IMDb him for the mile-long credits list. I then met Randy Rogel, the composer of the Bravoman cartoon theme (as well as every Animaniacs song you’ve ever heard), and David Yost - the original Blue Power Ranger - and filed into the Cartoon Voices panel, which was hilarious (run by Mark Evanier).

Afterwards, I had lunch with Brian and met up with Rob Paulsen again - the dude’s amazing. While the three of us were chatting, the one-and-only “Harley’s Joker,” Anthony Misiano, came up for a picture with Rob. Very cool. What a great day meeting new people, and learning about the voice acting biz.

Sunday I was thrilled to be a part of the Much Ado About Nothing panel, featuring Joss Whedon, Clark Gregg, et al., to see clips from the movie and a great Q&A. Following that, I met Rikki Simmons, the voice of Gir, and Dino Andrade, the voice of Scarecrow from Batman: Arkham Asylum. I visited J.T. Krul again, and reconnected with Brian Buccellato too. Made some great networking contacts at the Full-Time Creativity on a Part-Time Schedule panel. And then topped the whole day off by meeting Bruce Boxleitner, Tron himself.

Pretty freaking amazing. Got some great photos, even greater souvenirs (my Impulse #1 issue is now signed by Mark Waid AND Humberto Ramos!), and - best of all - some unforgettable friends and memories.

So, for my second convention ever, you might say it was a complete and total success. I hope WonderCon is at Anaheim again next year!

Day one of WonderCon, a COMPLETE success. Had a lot of fun working with SuperHeroStuff.com, and then I went over to ShiftyLook’s Bravoman booth, and met up with Rob Paulsen - the voice of Yakko Warner!!

Later, I found the INCREDIBLE Todd Nauck in the Artist Alley, and he drew me an Impulse!! IT’S SO GOOD!! Also pictured is a limited print that I bought!

Tomorrow, I’m going to try to meet Jimmy Palmiotti, and get my Impulse #1 issue signed by Humberto Ramos!! :D

Pretty much because they're doing so much with Harper that at this stage I find unnecessary. Maybe they're setting her up for their next story arc but something about that issue just made me walk away with a lot to be desired. I understand Bruce's delusional state but I didn't find Harper's reassurance at the end to be enough to make him walk away from his outburst.

I know exactly what you mean. Though I don’t know how I’d feel with TWO issues of Bruce trying to deal with the loss of Damian: Batman #18 and Batman and Robin #18. That might be just a bit too much. Remember, we’re also going to have to deal with Batman Incorporated #9, and any following issues of all 3. What I got most out of Batman #18 was how many parallels were drawn from how Batman acted after Jason’s death.

I did read it, just yesterday. I was bummed it was another full Harper story, and didn’t focus as much on Batman himself, but I still liked it mostly. I’ll be getting to that one real soon, along with Batman and Robin #18 and a couple others. What about it gave you that incomplete feeling?
